PROMOTION
AND SALES ON-LINE AND ON-DEMAND
How
does your sales staff attract customers to your showrooms or invite
sales enquiries? Could you support them with video demonstrations,
by using a mix of video interviews and PowerPoint presentations incorporated
as interactive streaming video?
Preview 2003 asked us to give his exhibitors a chance to promote their
products and services on show and increase the number of visitors
to their stands at the world's number one exhibition on gaming machines.
We fimed two interviews to attract people to the exhibition - and
will be filming visitors and exhibitors during the show to attract
even more visitors next year. See where we are - and watch this space
in few weeks for further developments.

GalleryOnTheNet wanted to keep visitors going back to their website
by capitalising on the key attraction on their exhibition stand.
They invited Tony Hart along to promote their work and he drew his
famous Hartoons which were then auctioned for charity.
So we filmed and edited the video for the web and linked the video
files to GalleryOnTheNet existing website seamlessly...

TRAINING
AND LEARNING ON-LINE AND ON-DEMAND
Have
you tried remote or distance learning for your staff or customers
by using CDs or printed material? Have they used them as often as
you want? Did they get easily bored or impatient - or lost the module
you wanted to work on? And how expensive was it on postage and phone
support? Or do you spend a fortune on accommodation and travel by
putting on courses and modules for your staff?
KeynotesLive wanted to demonstrate how easy it was to use streaming
video to support trainees
in answering on-line training tests and get marked immediately. The
marks can then be emailed back to the tutors.
This on-line training console can be created in just few hours. Have
a look to see if this will work for your training or learning applications

SUPPORT
AND HELP DESK ON-LINE AND ON-DEMAND
Have
you thought about supporting your customers or clients with on-demand
demonstrations or explanations - in their language - either to support
your existing helpdesk or expand it to a 24hour/7 day/52 week operation.

The
London Borough of Newham wanted residents, whose first language was
not English
and who might also have literacy problems, to understand easily what
services they were entitled to. The challenge was to find a cost-effective
method that didn't rely on the written word and could accommodate
the many languages spoken in the Borough. They gave us a clear brief:
a pilot website in 8 languages which people would find very easy to
use, easily upgradeable to 25+ languages. We designed a website where
a guide talked to a user in their own mother-tongue from the moment
they identified their language on the website. The guide tells them
how to find the different services and then tells them about the particular
service they are interested in. Working to a very tight budget, we
filmed 8 interpreters, edited to support the different pages and links
and programmed the workings of this bolt-on website. Have a look…

CORPORATE
COMMUNICATIONS
Have
you wanted customers, suppliers and advisers to hear your chairman
announce your new product or service, or vision for the future in
the latest report and accounts? Or view the latest press release with
the guidance both of your press officer and supported by interviews
with relevant technical or professional directors, managers and operators?
Or understand what happended at the product launch or AGM even if
they couldn't attend?

Has
your Finance or Technical Director wanted to introduce a new internal
service initiative so that each and every staff member catches their
vision and enthusiasm and understands and supports the reason for
change? Or your Marketing Director wants a lively staff newsletter
that everyone views and enjoys?
Manganese wanted a corporate brochure on the internet.
They weren't sure if this could be done, given the time taken to download
photographs and bulky documents. We worked closely with their web
designers, Intendance, and asked them to show us their corporate publicity
- and saw straight away that they had a very professional corporate
video. This we put online on their site - with an access time of 5
to 6 seconds regardless of whether Manganese viewers had a 56K modem
or a superfast ISDN or ADSL connection, as you can see……

The
Managing Director of an Italian blue chip company wanted to break
into the English market
and communicate his vision and passion to potential investors. He
wasn't sure how to do this online. We reviewed his material, and discovered
a PowerPoint presentation which we used to illustrate points made
by him in a filmed interview, also as there was a corporate video
that was not used to its full potential, we decided to include it
in the presentation too. This resulted in a very powerful on-line
presence as you can see…
